What do I see in this edgy, cool, black and white photo? I’ve been looking forward to this week’s challenge all week; I feel a bit like a kid waiting for Christmas! Being a painter, my world is predominant about color. When I saw this black and white image, I wasn’t sure how to handle it. My first response was that it reminded me of a Rorschach inkblot. The overall impact of this image is in the stark contrast of the black and white. I investigated the details a bit and they were fascinating, but the impact for me was the totality of the image upon initial consumption.
Here is my interpretation via haiku.
A white-toothed grin
with braces made of people
sitting upon chairs.
Thank you to Sonya of Only 100 Words for coming up with this very challenging Three Line Tales image. Want to participate in the fun? For complete information go to Sonya’s Three Line Tales page.
And you know what, I think it’s brilliant. I’m a big fan of sideways interpretation of photo prompts, so I’m glad you didn’t the challenging nature of the prompt stop you!
I think this one is really imaginative, albeit a trifle sinister 🙂 You did help me discover something else in the image: the bat-signal! Brilliantly done!
Yes! I believe I see it! Thanks.
Oh, your Haiku is so cool! I can see it in the picture, now! 🙂
Thank you do much!
Interesting…I totally see the inkblots now! {and agree with the slightly sinister edge}
{and we see the bat signal now!} 😉
Great way of looking at the picture. Who’d have thought windows could be teeth and people could be metal and wire?
Thank you! It was fun to imagine.
Love the different perspective – yes I can see it as the x-ray they do of your mouth before dental work 🙂 Great haiku Special Teaching at Pempi’s Palace
Brilliant! You’ve painted a wonderful picture.
Beautiful perspective to the photo. Great work!
Thanks so much!
Haiku scares me so I never touch the craft. This is a stunning take on the visual prompt. Merely a visitor intrigued wondering if to join. Thank you for sharing.😇
