Before I say goodbye to you and this Year’s Rest, I’m including some photos (below) from MJR that I didn’t manage to write about. That was perhaps my biggest failure. I love to share along the way. Next year I’m going to set a schedule and write more briefer posts.

My January Rest 2022: The List
I created My January Rest, to refocus my appetite, replenish my budget and re-establish my margins. December’s focus is often on consuming, January refocused by my ‘appetites’ by resting from some things for the month of January.

2020 MJR Wins, Fails, Fixes, and Flops
My creative spirit and sense of adventure kicked in and I put some water in the blender, hit the button, and whirled it hot! My poor husband stood there, quietly watching me from a distance. I suspect he contemplated making a run for it, but it was only a pizza cutter: the risk was minimal. Not pretty. Not pretty at all.

And So it Begins…
The Rest is challenging, but oh so fun! How can no sugar be fun? Because it isn’t really about giving up, it is about getting something of greater value. Every year I have learned and grown as I have rested. I’ve laughed at myself and learned from fellow sojourners. I’ve been especially blessed to hear how rest has affected those who have stepped into The Rest.
