Last evening I went to my hammock to enjoy some peace and quiet. All was going well until I had a visitor, a cicada. I snapped a picture (as bad as it is) and thought of the contrast of what I sought, quiet, and what I got, a ruckus! I wonder why one little bug makes SO much racket!? Of course I had to find out why and of course it is a male’s mating call!
Seeking quiet space.
Cicada on pergola,
shhh… Be quiet. STOP!
I remained. He fled. Quiet was had.
How do you find quiet and what disturbs your quiet space?
I find quiet with meditation. An troubled mind disturbs my peace and quiet. So it’s all down to me really!
Thank you for sharing.
Early early morning offers the most beautiful quiet – after the pets are fed, and while the still husband slumbers. I guard that private space.
Guarding the precious quiet space is wise.
