Hooray! The LIEBSTER Award

Liebster Award
The LIEBSTER Award

A very big shout out to Innervoice for nominating me for the “LIEBSTER AWARD.” I am grateful that you found my words “music to your ears!”

Innervoice and I connected over some of our thoughts on our thoughts about voices in a poetic way; both of us using music as a metaphor. This similarity caused me to point her to a specific post on my new art blog.  I hope you will check out Innervoice’s blog. She writes:

I believe that the inner voice is the music of the soul. This voice from within is what makes you…YOU! It is one’s soul. The inner voice can provide wings to one’s mind, flight to one’s imagination and bring everything to life!

This award was new to my eyes and hears, so here is how it works:

  1. Thank your nominator
  2. Show the award on your blog
  3. Answer 10 questions asked to you
  4. Ask 10 questions to 10 new nominees (who have less than 200 followers)
  5. Notify them

10 Questions asked to me by Innervoice.

  1. What was your first thought when you read about your nomination?
A bit confused. I had never heard of it and even though I’ve been blogging a couple of years, I am still new to much of the blogging world. After I understood what it was, I was pleased because I am a verbal affirmation person!
  2. What is your favourite thing about blogging?
Hopefully connecting with someone out there—whether discovering a commonality, amusing them, or encouraging them.
  3. Would you take more classes like Blogging101? Why?
Yes! If only…if only there were more time. But, this is the second time I’ve done Blogging101 and I am learning so much more. I’ll keep pecking away and building on what already know and write, write, write!
  4. Is there a specific thing you would like to blog about but have not yet?
Yes. I plan on writing more specifically about how I find my rest and encourage other people along the way. Stay tuned and look for the new posts beginning in February!
  5. What will your blog look like in five years?
Wow! I cannot say, but it is fun to dream about. I hope I will have been faithful in writing, grown in my craft, deepened in my ability to connect with others, and have a large community of readers who I’ve helped inspire.
  6. What inspires you?
Beauty found in art, people, nature, life, and pain. Redemption. Love. Food. Rest.
  7. What drives you nuts?
Suffering. Injustice. Brokenness: we were meant for more. A specific teenager. Need I say more?
  8. If you were reborn – who would you be?
Me. Although I despise the challenges of my life including the hurtful past of a broken family and being a Ward of the State, I wouldn’t want to walk out someone else’s burdens, even to experience their blessings. And although I hadn’t originally interpreted the question in this way, my husband reminded me, that technically because of my faith, I have already been reborn!
  9. From today’s perspective: If you could change an event that happened in your life would you do it?
“No. I believe, we are, what we are, because of our past! Our experiences and lessons learnt in the past mould us into the present individual.” This is Innervoice’s response and it is perfect. Although, I’d say learned instead of learnt and that makes me wonder if she lives outside the states:).
  10. What is your inner child’s favourite activity?
Engaging my environment either creating something, connecting with someone, communing with Him, or catnapping.
